Music Makes A Difference
Scott Thompson, MBA is the founder and managing director of Intrinsic Value Capital Management. A
disciple of value investors Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, Benjamin Graham, and Phil Fisher, Scott
implements disciplined, quantitative, and qualitative approaches to value investing. He does this in
order to capitalize on undervalued investment opportunities. Scott Thompson identifies businesses
having advantageous price-to-value dislocations offering wide "margins of safety." He began investing
in 1987 and graduated from Northern Illinois University (B.S. 1991). At Aspen University (MBA) he
graduated "summa cum laude" and was named "Graduate Student of the Year." After college, he
quickly worked his way up in several Fortune-500 companies and served as Vice President of an
investment bank.

Scott is the founder of the International Society of Value Investors (ISVI), and he focuses on
fundamentals while value investing in the style of Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger. Like Buffett,
Scott believes in philanthropy, and has donated thousands of dollars and volunteer hours. Scott serves
on numerous non-profit boards and charity organizations, including Allina Health’s Courage Kenny
Rehabilitation Institute, which is the 5th largest rehabilitation healthcare organization in the United
States. He enjoys organizing charity events benefiting children with disabilities. Scott organized a
large charity event in Minneapolis featuring Peter Buffett, author, musician, and philanthropist.

Scott's enjoys reading multiple books per week to better serve his clients. Scott speaks at investor
conferences and value investing seminars worldwide.
